Excite was established by Mathilda Joubert in 2001 in response to the National Advisory Committee on Creative and Cultural Education (NACCCE, 1999) recommendation that established practices to promote creativity in the business world should be tested out in education. EXCITE was supported by the Department for Education and Skills and the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to develop creative thinking training and consultancy programmes for the education sector, based on highly successful business methodologies like Synectics.
Since then EXCITE has gone from strength to strength: we have developed a network of more than 60 accredited EXCITE trainers through our Train-the-Trainer programme and our team of EXCITE Partners have delivered creative curriculum and bespoke learning consultancy services to over 500 schools. We have also been involved in policy advisory work in the UK and internationally. It is often said that where NACCCE made the case for why we needed more creativity in schools, EXCITE shows us how.
The ‘how’ of creativity is always our focus: EXCITE training is engaging and practical (take a look at our testimonials), with immediate impact and results for our clients (over 75% of our business is generated through personal recommendation). With many clients returning year after year, we continually update our knowledge and skills to ensure we remain in the forefront of education policy development in the UK and internationally.
We look forward to welcoming you to our network of friends and clients.
